Q. What browser can I use?

This site supports Netscape 4 and up and IE 4 and up with the exception of  the planning map which works only in IE 5 and above.

Q. How are defult actions handled when no orders are submitted for a phase?

A. For the most part, default actions follow the standard Diplomacy rules. During the move phase, the defaults for all pieces is a hold action which is essentially the same as "Civil Disorder". For retreats, the default action is to disband. For unit ajustments, if the player has builds, the defualt is to build nothing. If the player must disband units, the default units to disband are randomly selected rather than following the official rules due to the technical hurdles of the algorithym. The official rules state that the furthest units from the player's home supply centers is chosen first, ties being settled by alphabetical order. I hope to implement the official rule at some future point, and will alert you when it is.

Q. How can I tell which phase we are in?

A. Only 1 "submit" option will be available in a particular game, and that is the option to do the current phase, which may be "submit orders", "submit retreats", or "submit adjustments".

Q. What happens if I don't get my moves/retreats/builds in by the deadline?

A.If you have not entered moves by the dealine, you will likely forfiet your turn, as per the rules.  However, since the round is not ended until someont executes the phase, you might get lucky...

Q. My unit is missing, where did it go???

A. When an attack succeeds on a territory, both pieces are drawn on the country even though one must retreat.  The pieces are drawn in no particular order, so you may have to move someone else's piece to see yours beneath it.  If you looked and it's still not there, then send me an email and I'll look into it.

Q. What's the move schedule?

A. Check back here for changes. The deadline for each phase is at the same time listed for the game, Mon thru Fri.   Currently, the time is determined when the game is created.  Here are the 5 phases:

Q. How can I see the map in its own window?

A. You can view any of the items in their own window by right clicking on the menu item and selecting "Open in New Window"
